McArthurGlen — European Retail & Architectural Photography
The assignment was to document 13 properties across seven countries for McArthurGlen, Europe’s leading developer of designer outlet centers.
Over the course of seven weeks on the road—traveling with a camera bag, tripod, and one very large suitcase—I photographed each location while uploading a web gallery nightly, allowing the client to track progress and provide real-time feedback.
The project offered a unique perspective on retail environments across Europe, revealing the distinct architectural character of each site. Along the way, I came to appreciate how regional identity shapes the experience—though it was the Italians who, not surprisingly, brought the strongest sense of style to the work.
