I have been working with the Houston Area BMW Dealers
for a number of years through their agency, Goodby Silverstein,
so I was so delighted when they reached out in the midst
of the Covid 19 shutdown and asked us to provide videos
of a very special project they were undertaking
to support front line health care workers.
Each of the 6 area dealers selected a Chick-fil-A restaurant,
factoring in those who were adversely effected by the business
shutdown that came with the Coronavirus stay-at-home orders.
Each dealer purchased 333 boxed meals at their selected restaurant,
and then delivered them to a different Houston area hospital,
from Katy to Clear Lake, from The Woodlands to The Medical Center.
The whole project was conceived and planned in a matter of days,
and we spent the next week working with the dealerships, their
staffs, and the hospitals to coordinate our shoots.
We provided 60-second and 30-second spots that incorporated
images from each dealership, and also provided a 20-second
spot for each dealership, with images strictly from their day.
A second round of the initiative was done in September,
and we provided more spots for several of the dealers.
Many thanks to Goodby Silverstein, BMW, and the selected
Chick-fil-A restaurants, and of course the hospitals and their staffs
for including us in such a wonderful project.
